How do you separate friends from work? I've noticed that men tend to separate the two better than women. Still how do you place business and personal in different compartments? This morning I felt distressed as I came across this situation again. It's not the first time that work related tension arose between the two of us (my friend and I). From where I stood it seemed like she didn't respect me. Just because I have shared personal stories with her in the past doesn't mean that she can treat me any less than she does my boss. I don't know if it was the right thing to do but I did mention it to my manager and one of my bosses. Sometimes I can't decide if I'm overreacting or if I have every right to be upset.
So my morning started off on the wrong foot and it was a Thursday. Kind of wished it was a Friday. But tomorrow should be better as the next day is Saturday. I'm looking forward to enjoying my long weekend... though I have to dedicate some time doing work related tasks.
